Nature reserve Smeetshof

At Smeetshof, you walk along the border between Belgium and the Netherlands. You walk along the woods, swamps, prairies and streams. Along the way you may also see Tauros, cattle with impressive horns. Furthermore the bird watching huts and the wooden paths give you a glimpse into the surprising part of Kempen-Broek

Nature reserve De Luysmolen

The landscape in the border park Kempen-Broek is characterized by swamps, stream valleys, ponds, forests and meadows. It’s wonderful to walk through the vast nature. Due to the large variety of ponds and reed swamps the area is one of the best dragonflies area in Flanders. After the walk you can enjoy one of Limburg’s specialties in Café de Luysmolen. Here you can also rent a hammock with picknick included for the road.

De Goolderroute

This 11km hiking route starts at the entrance of the camping (in front of the reception). Follow the light blue arrows through mostly unpaved areas. You go in the of direction Reppel, you pass Grote-Brogel and finally end at the camping again.

Stokkenmanroute

The Stokkenmanroute is an enjoyable family walk of 4.2 km through the forests of Kattevennen. With the help of an app, game booklet, or storybook, you discover the mysterious Stokkenmen in the forest and learn about the story of these special beings. Moreover, the Stokkenmanroute takes you along the most beautiful spots of Kattevennen.
