The Story

The Rat family is looking for a new home and finds a burrow on the playground of a local school. The rat children enjoy the playground equipment and overflowing trash cans. But soon their burrow turns into a real 'mess'. And as you know, rats don't like to clean up! Will you help them make everything nice and tidy again as it should be?

What to expect from the walk?

During the walk, you'll read the adventures of the Rat family and their mess at various stops. At each stop, you'll find a large board with a short excerpt from the book 'Ratzooi' by Guy Daniëls and accompanying illustrations by Ina Hallemans.

Ratzooi Bike Tour

This challenging bike tour takes you from Goolderheide to Kaulille center and back. Along the way, you'll encounter 8 stops where you can enjoy the picture book story 'Ratzooi'. Only after completing the task can you continue cycling to the next stop. At one of the stops, you can play at a pleasant playground. Meanwhile, parents can relax with a drink.

The route mainly runs on car-free roads, and in Bocholt, the green surroundings are never far away.
